Kapone, has one other release on Penalty Records, titled "get down to it / no jurisdiction" 12" with production by Eric Sermon. Super Dope 12" from Jasun Ward AKA Half A Mill,(RIP). IM not sure if this was his first release or not, but in my opinion its his best, "hands down". Ok this release has 2 tracks on it both , are produced , written, and arranged, by Half A Mill. "Any Day Can Be Ya Last" is the first joint, this track is my least favorite of the 2, but in noway is it wack, its actually dope as fuck, but track 2 "Another Homicide Scene" is off the chain, fresh lyrics, dope beat, all around quality.. The Label is "Half A Million Productions" / "Power Records" ... Half A Mill, Was shot, and murdered, a few years ago in his Brooklyn apartment, I believe it was over a drug deal gone bad. Looks to me like it was just "another homicide scene"... (RIP) Jasun Ward AKA HALF A MILL! PEAZ!!

"ghetto news" such a dope track with production from "casanova" def. diggin pop's style and sound. the other track "raw (are you sure?)" is also dope, with production from (casanova), reef, and spunk kadafi. pops 12" is on profile records the year it was released is 1996, and im not sure but i think this was his only release...

here is a man who needs no introduction. Not a stranger to controversy, Mr. D. Original released a maxi-single in 1998 entitled, "3 Joints" on his independent label, $Money Entertainment$. Many retailers refused to stock it in their stores due to the marijuana leaf artwork on the CD's cover. That certainly did not hinder D. Original. The rapper sold copies of his CD on August 7, 1998 in front of Brooklyn's Beat Street Records along with a complimentary 3-dollar bag of weed. That "original" street team move landed him several nights in jail. After he was released on bond, D. Original appeared on BET Rap City, MTV News, and Howard Stern's syndicated radio show and "3 Joints" went on to sell well over 65,000 copies. "Swiff" and "Murray" met in '87 and were introduced to "Attic" by a mutual friend in 1991. In 1994 and 1995, "da Grassroots" produced "Certified Dope" and "E-Z on tha Motion," two Juno-winning "Ghetto Concept" tracks, and established themselves as a Canadian production powerhouse. "E-Z on the Motion" is by far in my top 10 favorite tracks of all time..

well here we have "slum brothers" 3rd and final release, "fools paradise". it is my least favorite of the three releases, which are, "sure shot" b/w "6 million mc's" 1995 release on "suicide recordings" and "stop fronting" b/w "regular niggers" on "michu". but i picked "fools paradise" this post for the simple fact of its rarity. its released on "scientific records" the year 1997 and the producer and mc goes to "reginald dempsey"

for my fifth post i thought i would choose boston natives "street poets", title, "mindless/out ta flip" the label, "dbk". the emcee on side 1 "mindless" is "punch" its produced by "dow brain" and "brad young". side 2 "out ta flip" this one has "polecat" on the mic. same production, "dow brain" and "brad young". both tracks have remixes and i guess its the same producers, but dont quote me on that.

this is a pretty good 12inch from seattle based crew "diamond_mercenaries". the label is "conception records" they have droped other dope singles like "fourfifths-earth wind and fire" and "third degree-better days" all of them are really dope, in my opinion, and will probally have their own feature on my blog, in time to come, but for now lets start out with this 12inch from "diamond mercenaries" it has two tracks on it "block drama" which is produced by "jake one" and "block drama remix" which is produced by "mr. supreme".. hope u enjoy
